Lacro Diamondbrite
#1
My car was Lacro'd new a year ago and despite using the wash conserver regularly it still doesn't shine as much as before.
I'm going to take it to be inspected at the dealership as per warranty instructions and see what they say....... the warranty card promises money back if there is a "loss of gloss".
Should you need to apply polishes on top of Lacro?? - If so, what's best?
Any advice welcomed.
Thanks.

Diamondbrite is good but has its faults. The one you mention is typical. A pure wax without silicones, solvents or abrasives should be used to extract the maximum gloss. A pure wax will in no way harm the underfinish of Diamondbrite as a wax is disgnied to add gloss and further protection. You'll be amazed at what a wax will do.

You will have to check your warranty terms but I would suspect that are are many get out clauses. Most of the problems are caused by shoddy application.
But, having said this, and having made an acrylic sealant, it is always better to protect the underlayer with a sacrificial wax. Wax will add gloss and further protection.

Depends on the colour. Pearl Wax if its a light colour or Onyx Wax if its a dark colour or Shield if the car will live ouitside a lot of the time. The later has the benefit of Teflon and is extreme;ly easy to apply....just apply to a washed and dryed car, cover whole car in wax and the buff using the cloth provided. Reapply once per month. Enuff in pot for some 45 to 50 complete waxings (same for all the waxes).
