i am about to change the turbo on my 00 uk turbo to a andy forrest hybrid td04, my question is, will it be ok to run this turbo without a remap for a while as i cant get a remap date with andy till the end of the month. obviously i would be driving it gently and off boost as much as possible. car is standard bar a full decat exhaust and panel filter just now, mods to be fitted are
hybrid td04
ported headers and upipe
prodrive y pipe
prodrive 3 port boost solinoid
walbro fuel pump
ecutek remap by andy forrest

should this lot transform my car into a bit of a beast?? im hoping so.

Fine to run off boost till the remap.

Beast, I doubt it. Fast road car with nice spool I think so

 

The car should be ok just don't go driving it too hard, have you not considered adding a newage WRX intercooler as they are pretty cheap and will help your turbo make better power because the original intercooler is going to kill your power

yes a sti 8 tmic would be nice as well, will look out for one.

 

I was just on about the WRX one as the STI one will be more than you need.

Thats the one, you just need one of the brackets, I think its the left hand side as you look into the bay
