Default Filling up with V-Power, LOL

Just been to one of two local stations. As I'm standing, lost in thought as the pump whirred away, (and the price whirred even faster), I was brought back to earth by the grumble of a Scoob engine behind me. When I checked him out, I also noticed that there were TWO others at other pumps, and as I left a Hatch turned in too.

Shell ought to be glad of Subarus, I don't know about V-Power club, there ought to be special club just for us.

Apart from Shell Optimax / V-Power what other filling stations offer 97+ octane fuel?

Soon to get an Scooby and don't want to rely upon finding Shell every time I need to fill up.

Going to be a shock to the system after driving oil burners for the last 15 years!

u dont want to run on 97 octane not good enough for your scoob! causes det and pinking!, so u need to learn where all your local shell and tesco's stations are as they are the only 2 suppliers knocking out the 99 octane.

unless of course u buy one and get it mapped to run on lesser fuels ofc.

So what is V-Power octane wise? I always thought it was same as what used to be know as "Super Unleaded" which I thought was a minimum of 97 octane?

V power and tesco both offer 99octane. The higher the octane the more stable the burn of said fuel at high cylinder temperatures.

Honda filled my tank on 15th June - 50 litres - 350 miles later the gauge is showing 1/3rd tank left .... I'm going to the coast tomorrow and expect it to be showing close to empty on 500 miles.

Happy days

That's great mate, 500 utterly thrill-free miles!

I can honestly say I am happy getting half that from a 60 litres tank to have many, many more times the involvement, feedback and fun!

The only reason I am even considering buying an Impreza is because I don't need to use it to get around. It'll be parked up during the day Monday to Friday other than a trip to the supermarket. The weekend is when I'll use it to go for a drive.

Never take your Impreza to a supermarket, unless you can park where no other cars are

There is always some dopey s***t that likes to dent your car.

Sage advice mate

I tend to do that anyway, but as I understand it the panels are mega thin on Imprezas?
