while you are waiting, see if you can get another door as a lot of places cant work with the lightweight ally doors (they are like tin basically). i ended up needing a new door for my hawkeye which tbh was cheaper new than i expected. the real money is in the spraying/ labour, as they may have to spray the whole side of the car, just depends how fussy you are. hope it dont cost too much, if it happens again, get him filled in.

^^ good point, especially with silver, its one of the hardest colours to get an exact match. I had a small dent about the size of a 5pence piece taken out of my front wing, they resprayed the wing and the door, cost £250 !

I've had a panel done for £120. The car is silver and he did a perfect job.

The place is in Worthing, Sussex if that helps.

alloy doors?? not a subaru mate, to the OP if the door is to bad they may only improve it and not fully rectify it as the metal will stretch and not go back to its original form.

sorry my abbreviation was meant to read aluminium rather than alloy, see your concern though, wrought iron doors may be a bit of an issue power/weight

I,ve always had good results using a paintless dent removal company. The one I would recommend is based in Warrington so no use to you. So I would try a PDR company in your area , otherwise I,d try to buy a used door in the same colour.

i was quoted £280 for a bonnet dent as they said it would need a respray, however autodent did it for £50 no need for any paint. a lot of main dealers use them too in my area.
