Default Which Wheels

Hi everyone at Scoobynet

I have a black 03WRX with 18" gunmetal Inovit Redlines on, they need replacing as one is buckled thanks to our superb roads.

Do I replace them with the same, or maybe white inovit redlines or should I go for some Rota GTR's?

What else should I consider?

I think white wheels on black cars look good, the only problem I see is keeing them clean.

So come on people lets have your suggestions

Rota's all the way. Some very good price deals and fitments available too so best off with Rota.

Stick with the same mate - the redline gunmetals look nice. Or the bright flitter (i.e. sparkling silver) option would look good with black.
IMHO white wheels on a black car just looks terrible.

I run redline in gold on mine just because mine's a WR blue so I went for the "more traditional" look

Rota's are better if you want a lightweight wheel. I'm a big fan of their multi-spoke designs. Innovits look nice but are heavier (and prob. not quite as well made).

Might sound a bit daft.
But you have inovite wheels on now that you have bent, but you are looking at the same company wheel to replace???????

i had the same problem but with team Dynamics Monza R's as the roads around me are crap too so went and got some Revolution Milleniums. Wont be bending them bad boys so fast!! Spent a bit more, but at least you know you wont have to replace them any time soon.

It would have had to have been an effing big pothole to buckle an alloy mate.
I suspect he's probably hit a kerb - lots of people have been there - I know I have - someone nearly ran me off the road last year and the back end hit a kerb - buckled the wheel - bought a new one.
The Innovits are pretty tough.
Anyway, as said previously, the Rotas are better made, and more lightweight. Don't know the revolution casting process.

It was a pot hole I hit, made one hell on a bang, you can see a flat spot where I hit the pot hole.

"It would have had to have been an effing big pothole to buckle an alloy mate. I suspect he's probably hit a kerb "

Don't know about the OP, but I've twice buckled my Circlar Spec Rs on potholes on roads around here (admittedly, I cover a lot of miles on smaller B-roads, so it was probably bound to happen sooner or later). Since I didn't have cash to splash on new wheels on either occasion, I used thick gloves, a 4lb club and lots of gentle persuasion to hammer them back into shape.
They hold air fine, and the scuff-marks from the hammering don't look any worse than an average kerb-scrape.

I've Rota's on my WRX. One of them is buckled too and needs fixing/replacing. When I was getting some new tyres the guy doing it said they were really poor quality wheels, which I thought was nice of him!

What power's your WRX putting out with those mods?

it doesnt take to much to bend a weel.i remember hitting a few bumps but nothng that i would expect the wheel to flatspot like it did.
The Revoluton Milleniums are a rally compertition wheel, the moment i saw them the first thing i noticed was the thickness of the side rim. Without exadurating they must of been twice the thickness of the Monza R's but still felt lighter.
They dont look to different to the rota GTR wheels but with just another spoke, can get them n Anthrasite too.

Heres a pic of mine that i photoshoped a while back
