Newbie questions
Hi all 1st post here, ive just got a v5 STi type r.
Im new to Subaru's having owned a far few nissans and know nothing about them really and ive got a few questions if someone can help me please.
Firstly do you have to have the ecu remapped for Uk super unleaded? Also the car seems to be boosting up to 1.1bar I thought that this is a little high, is this normal?
Thanks

Welcome 1.1bar is ok (normal), and yes, it really does need a remap for UK fuel if it hasnt had one, and avoid induction kits, they kill the maf sensors which normally end up doing nasty things to the engine internals

Chung, there are a few places around London and Essex (best to look at the essex section ) but Mocom is in essex, you have a few mappers who travel, Simon (JGM) and Duncan (Dynamix) or if you want to travel a little then you have Bob Rawle in Swindon, there is also Fiestaboy (Richard up in high wycombe), so a few there for you
Also as long as there isnt a front mount fitted, you can revert back to the standard air box and go for a dry filter, this will stop maf contamination, though its also advisable to replace the maf sensor on a fairly regular basis (every couple of years, they are pretty cheap anyway).
