Hi
Just changed maf on my00 and eclipse performance and local garage say no need to reset ecu, just let it tick over for 5 min, but revolution say (idealy) it wants reseting. Is it neccessary and if so is it true you can just disconnect battery for a few hours to reset it?
Thanks

It takes a certain number of starts for the error code to drop out of the ECU - resetting the ECU won't actually do anything except delete the offending code.
Just drive it, fixed, and in no time the error will have disappeared like it had never been there!
