hi tony

jap spec c blob from uk to thailand.

im told its more sensible to import one from japan as its closer,
but im sure i will need to make changes to the car like remap for the 40 degree heat and grade of petrol etc which would be better to do here i think. not sure if there is any subaru specialists there.

Your best buying out there, you may want to put your spec c up for sale a fair time before going, quite a few floating around that have not sold saying that, picked my last one up for under 11k with 21k on the clock but depends what version you have (16 inch, 17 inch, RA, Wr Ltd, Limited etc)

Hmmm on second thoughts, having just looked at the conversion rates....!
This is a price list in singapore http://www.motorimage.net/SG/buying/.../pricelist.pdf
A spec C is 120,000 dollars, thats like 55k sterling so it may be easier to ship over there but you will have to see how much the tax for importing will be

not seen that many scoobs in thailand, mainly see the in bangkok.

you could try to import from australia if you have any connections, not too far in distance plus it should be already mapped for heat etc.

Importing to thailand would be fairly easy getting out of there customs would be the hard part and getting it registered. Although money can almost solve everything over there. I'm sure some bikers well in Phuket anyway imported the parts to build a custom bike. Cause they could not import there custom choppers.

Must be done as i have seen severly impreza's an evo's and even a new skyline kicking about in Rawai Village.

if you import your car to thailand you will pay 308% tax on the thai valuation of the vehicle, you also need an import license. it is far cheaper to buy one that was imported from new.
