My insurance covers my T20 same price as a UK WR1. They normally class it as the "Top of the range" UK Car so latter a RB320 and a Hatch a 330s
Never any hassle with both my JDM STi's quotes I have had are Comparable to my UK PPP'd cars.
If a Spec C etc etc better to try Moley(Gary Moulsten) at Keith Michaels they know what what http://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/conta...-insurance.php
IMHO IIRC

A- Plan and Keith Michaels insurance are most popular. There will be little if any difference between JDM and UK car quotes as long as you go to the correct companies.
my 2003 Spec C LTD with engine mods declared was 520 quid this year. the car is garaged and it's not the most desirable area/estate in my city. I've just turned 37 btw

Does any one know if the cost of insurance goes up and down with the time of year? Due to snow, ice, freezing conditions and more accidents etc? To put my wife on in January was £400 to which I turned down. Just enquired today and £140, nothings changed

I'm about to mothball my jdm sti because I'm reluctant to shell out for the insurance, I'll be lucky to do 2000 miles in a year now and I just want a low mileage policy! My renewal is £790 but it's interesting how you're not so keen to pay it when you don't use it every day like you used to!

Moley @ Kieth Micheals, Aplan weren`t far behind.
I`m 28, the mrs is on the policy, all mods declared, protected no claims etc for £600 on a 2003 JDM STi. That is with 10 years no claims, garaged car, and a similar car history, that seems to help.

Hello fella. Look in the insruace section on here for a guy called Moley_wrx (a.k.a. Gary Moulson). He works for Keith Michaels and I'm pretty sure he could offer temp insurance for you.

hi all,
i was just wondering .. am i being too optimistic to insure 2005 jdm sti without previous experience with this sort of 'performance car' in UK? i am 31 years old but been declined(by one insurer) to get quote due to not having enuff experience driving performance car ?
btw, i am foreigner and had driven nissan 350z,mitsubishi airtrex turbo, honda civic vtec non-R, toyota caldna gt3 back in my country.. but all these car were driven outside UK.. does insurance company still consider this as 'experience' enough ?
