120,000 miles?
Lads,
My Brother seems to have been influenced with my search for an Impreza and has found one fairly local to him. It has 120,000 on the clock though. I'm assuming it should have had the belts and water pump changed twice.
Are the engines good for that amount of miles though??? It's a 2001 WRX.

123000 miles here with no bother at all (2004 WRX). Timing belt should have been changed at 50K and 100K, no reason why the water pump should have been changed.
So long as there is proper and regular servicing there is no reason why these cars should should not just keep on going, in fact I am relying on it!

Just bought a 2003 wrx with 85k on it. No problems, as Stairs writes as long as it's serviced regularly, 120k is nothing for an Impreza. Just test the clutch, see how it pulls away in 2nd from still or boot it in 5th to test it.
Go for it................I would.
