Ulpha Fell

Lived in Cumbria up until about 7 years ago.I have had lots of fun,tho at the time I didnt have anything near a scoob!
Shame they narrowed the dual carriageway thru the twisties near Bassenthwaite(yes, the only lake in the lake district!) in the direction away from Keswick.

Anyone driven this in anger ? I did a few times this weekend and have to say it's the best road i've ever driven. Amazing crests and dips for 3 or 4 miles, combines with enough twists and turns to keep a real grin on your face. And NO TRAFFIC whatsoever :-)
(and nowhere for Plod to hide !)

Been over Ulfa lots of times travelling up to Sellafield.
Get yourself over Corney Fell if you want some real fun though
Lots of v. silly blind corners and one stretch in particular where it looks like the road goes striaght ahead but as soon as you come over a dip in the road, it turns sharp hairpin left before a bridge.
However, all of the roads up there are great fun to drive, especially in either an Evo or Impreza.
