after suffering weeks of removing the power steering bottle and trying all sorts of o rings and gasket seal combos i replaced the round bottle with the square legacy one - problem solved.

Now i have oil all over the block and it smokes after a hard drive. whats the best way to clean the spilled oil off? should i take it to a steam cleaner or just go skep with the power washer?

This is what I have done in the past;
Cover anything electrical or bits that looks like water can damage with tin foil, Spray Gunk all over and work in with a brush then with a hose on a light spray or watering can rinse well. Then final wipe with a clean cloth and apply a engine dress type product to the plastic bits and polish any metal parts if you want and it will look a treat.

there are loads of parts which i couldnt even get to with a hand let alone a brush, like near enough under the power steering tank. Subaru kindly made in dents on the block to pool oil very effectively. I rolled up kitchen roll and let it suck up most of it but its all the residue i need to get red before it al goes that gunky black kind of way.

just steam clean it you tart just give a good spray with gunk and leave 5-10 mins and then blast it off with a good power wash
