Default petrol

Hey all,

I have a my95 classic. I know it needs higher octane fuel. However I have read on here that bp ultima is not good for scoobys.

However I do not have a shell or Tesco petrol station near me.

What other fuels would people recommend

Why is bp so bad

Dosnt matter if the shell garage is 30 mile away, thats the best fuel to use and you will regret not using it when your car goes boom. Im 23 mile from a shell, tesco is alot closer but v-power is all i let the scoob drink, well that and meth...

uk will be fine on 95. bp ultimate with some octane booster or shell V power. No tescos nearby, they do a 99ron fuel? alternatively new ECU and remap for SUL.

95 in a tractor will destroy the diesel engine and you have the inconvienience of having to syphon the petrol from the tank.

This is correct, UK none STI cars can run perfectly well on 95 ron fuel, 97+ will give better performance and fuel economy though
Imports require 97+ (pre MY99 cars).

Millers Octane Plus
Millers Octane Plus is an octane booster that will add up to 2 octane numbers (2 RON) to unleaded fuel. Simply add a full 250ml bot...
Our Price: £4.11

Outa intrest what Octane booster do people use.

My view is if u have to use that to make up the the ron diff for normal running youve either too much brass, or nuts

I can see the point for racing though vroom vroom

Map it to 97 and suffer the loss in horses if it has already been previously mapped.
Then you can rest assured that the car will be ok for fuel, no matter where you are.
