Hi people just a quick question. Just got my first 3 points after 16 years of driving How many of you have got points and does it affect your insurance at all Cheers for any answers.

You need to tell your insurance company you have the points, so why not ask when you ring them

TBH so many people have 3 now, it doesn't really affect the premium that much. What did you get them for?

3 Didn't really effect my premium to be honest.

I had 3 points for speeding which made no difference to my insurance.

3 points made no difference to mine either but you must tell your insurance company-the last thing you want is for something to happen to you or your car and for them to refuse to pay out because you didn't tell them about your conviction.

If it is going to make a difference it will be on renewal rather than the day you tell them-it depends who your insurance company is, as to what they do.

Read my insurance stuff the other day as I've just renewed. You are supposed to advise them of any changes as they happen, not just at renewal. I never knew that!

I have 6 and my insurance went up by £50.00.

hopefully i wont get to stung then. pissed off considering my wife was doing naughty speeds up to nottingham only a few days later??
