The shame of running around with full rally slag decals would be worse for me than getting pumped from an "old van"

does anyone no wot the combo is running though?

and i was out with my mate in his sti wr1 a while back when we had a run in with a nova with a 2.0 turbo in it, he was sittin on my mates butt coming off a roundabout joining the a a-road so my mate flawed it and hit 70mph!!!!!! the nova was still sitting quite comfortably in the same place behind us with a big grin!

some of these old skool cars are quick now with modern engines in them.

So what have we learned here then?

Your from Milton Keynes, your mate drives a WR1 on the A127 and hits speeds of 150MPH

Too much info is not a good thing dude

most of my mates drive the same way mate!
and i would of thought a few people on here was the same?
if i wanted to stick to 70mph i wouldnt pay out for a high perfomance car with high running costs and insurance, i would by a beeltle with a vase on thedash board for my flowers

Ever heard of trackdays?

Driving like a complete twonk on public roads isn't big nor cool, if you get it wrong your not just killing your self but probably some innocent person going about their daily life.

Pop a post up when they're coming to Essex again and I'll steer clear.

Going a little over 70mph is one thing but 150mph is a different ballgame.

Yes we buy these cars because they're quick. If you have no problem forking out for the high costs then pay for a track day where you have plenty of run off space where your limited driving talent runs out.

I agree there are others on here that do the same and the general concensus is they they're numpties as well.

Just my £0.02 worth.

The all important part. Only a matter of time on public roads at those speeds. No matter how good at driving you think you are in truth you won't be. Nobody is as good as they think they are. There are too many other factors to take into account. I hope for your son's sake you see sense and especially don't drive like that with him in the car.

Thats why our insurance is so dear, People arnt built for that speed due to the reaction times what if little timmy would of crossed the road??

Thats 67 meters/sec Thats a football pitch every 2 secs.

Not to lecture but you winge you pay dear insurance which we all do yet your happy to put a risk on making it dearer for every one else??

Santa pod has a RWYB day on sat which is no more than 15 mins from you.

Lack of repect to be fair. What makes you invincible??

I have been on track at that speed in a more than capable car, albeit as a passenger, but even still that was track and I know that if you're doing that on the road then you're a bit of a plank really. You can't justify doing that speed on the road so I'd give up trying to.

Couldn't agree less. There's the rather large problem of you basically owning a lethal weapon when you're behind the wheel.

I for one hope you do get caught doing these stupid speeds so that you're banned and off the road. Although why do I get the impression that a ban wouldn't stop you driving?

99.9mph is acceptable, go 0.1mph faster and you become a pariah. You will be judged by hypocrites, as all judges are.

imo it is far far more reckless to drive past a junior school at chucking out time at 30mph than at 150 on a deserted, straight, barriered, no slip road, dual (like the raglan to abergavenny section?)

anyways, the stickers and crap must have weighed it down.

i would stop yes!
i hope you also dont get caught doing abit over the speed limit as this is also illegal!
and i would advise not to move to milton keynes as i live on the side of the a421 and mate its like a race course here late in the evenings specially the bikes!
so you keep your scooby for the track days and enjoy your coco

There's a reason why I have full ncb and a clean licence. I don't thrash the **** off my car on public roads. No track days for me either. Happy to be a passenger on track and I much prefer go karting. Far more competitve than the "traffic light grand ******"

Only ever been pulled over for a routine stop as part of a summer campaign to cut down drink driving. Copper was a bit annoyed when I blew zero .

I live in Essex. I know it's not great but why downgrade and move to MK?

I do enjoy my Coco as it goes. Normally with a nice drop of brandy in it. Thanks

coupebrett - no i dont drive fast at all with him in the car!
That doesn't justify anything!! What if I was coming the other way with my little boy in the car and you had a blow out etc or just lost it? Or if it was the other way you plodding along at 70 late at night heading back from a night out with the family and some jumped up person in there fast car came hurtling out of control towards you!?

I travel late at night with my family often due to other family living so far away just be careful for your sake as well as others!

Track day all the way!! Do it and brag about it then. . . as its safer than the road!
