Default blob sti vs hawk sti

Hi all,

I'm on the brink of buying one of the above.

I have to say that on looks, a 55 plate blob sti is cutting it for me at the moment. (with the prodrive alloys and the sti spoiler).

But does anyone know what the 0-60 times are on the both of these please? Uk spec.

I heard the hawk sti was slower?

Thanks

The hawk is quicker ,it's got the 2.5 lump and has more torque in the lower rev range. In terms of looks the hawk is better in my opinion ,but it's each to there own. The Jap spec blob eyes are quicker then the Uk hawks as they have the hiegh revving JDM engine with twinscroll turbo.

Hawk STi is definately quicker , as said by Juggers the 2.5 has a lot more torque and feels more lighter to drive ie clutch and handling, imo , if in the Blobeye you have 2 passengers with you if that makes sense.
Only downside is worse fuel economy and the ridiculous £415 a yr Road Tax

The blobs dont, they are just mapped for 97 ron fuel so 265ps, you can get a fair bit more out of them, its the 2.5's that are a bit dodgy
The MY06 cars suffered cracked liners, head gasket problems, ring failure etc so the 2ltr is a far better bet, and as said the JDM 2ltr twin scroll is an even better bet

If your getting JDM then either..

If your getting UK then get late Blob.

From chatting to a few people ( And oh my this is probably going to upset people ) because of the Drive by Wire system in the new 2.5l Hawks they feel abit dead compared to the traditional system..

Never driven a UK Hawk so this is only from chats.. but my JDM Hawk rules!!

Thanks again Juggers

my05 blob it is then. Thanks

I do think they look better as well imo. But perhaps I'm being biased as I love my current 53 blob.

I just hope I can find an sti in better condition than my current car.

I've driven a UK blob STi and a Hawk UK STi and I think the Hawk was a better drive and better looking..............if only you could trust the 2.5 lump

Chosing between the two I'd buy the Hawk, cross my fingers and do some overtime just in case

depends if you want to mod and how you drive .
If your lasy and dont want to mod hp hawk
if you like to drive your car and want a standard engine that mods well into the 400hp safely go blob
