the roof it still on so 2 things really they were thrown from the car or got out of it, IF it was serious they would of had the roof taken of and the doors etc to get the body out

This is why I think all breaker adverts should show pictures of the previously "cream" coloured roof lining. Last one I saw was splattered browny red and had been standing around long enough for traces of mould to set in. I'm sure some of the workers at these sites would think it's a good idea. They seem very "jolly" and happy to show you the latest interior redesign.
