Default Coil Pack Woes

Hi all,

I have an '05 WRX UK, running 350/330.

i changed the plugs around 6 months ago, when on boost one evening I heard a loud bang and loss of power, upon investigation coil pack number 3 had popped out. I put this down to not tightening it up properly, anyway put new plugs back in checked the bolt and threads and all was fine and normal.

Fast forward to today, driving along at 70-ish mph, not full boost, just on an a-road....Guess what it started running on 3 cyl again, checked coil pack number 3 - Yep, it had popped out again.

Any ideas why this is happening, or has anyone else had this issue? - I am most likely going to get a new coilpack for #3, but there is no problem when visually inspecting it, the threads are fine and it sits and tightens down properly.

Any views are appreciated!

Thanks in advance

how does a coilpack that is attached with an M8 bolt pop out?

Sounds like the bolt isn't properly tight.

That's what I thought.....the first time.

But this time there is something wrong, as #r pack was checked and cross-checked the most

Quite, if bolted in it cannot move/pop out, are you sure you are on about the coil packs???
