Head or heart - that is the question
This last year I have been driving around in a loverly, luxurious, sporty, fast Volvo - S60R. All though I love the car because I feel safe when driving it - lots of metal around me and most importantly I can fit behind the wheel. I have of late be a little bored of the car and just fancied a change and come back to the fold.
Now I keep seeing for sale Impreza's that I would love to own, but I don't know if I should buy an Impreza on the basis of my heart rather than my head.
Since owning my previous car - a well sorted Impreza Sport I loved the benefit of AWD, hence my current car and I don't think I would feel as happy in a 2WD car on the basis that for a few days (maybe a week) we get some snow and having AWD, makes me feel great knowing I can get home from work safely.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Darren

Sounds like you need to buy another Impreza even if its just to the desire out of you system.
I reckon you will in the long run regret more not getting another Impreza than if you sell the Volvo and get one.
Life's too short to **** about.
No regrets.
Just my thoughts.

What age Impreza would you be looking at?
The Volvo is way chunkier than the Subaru, roughly 150kgs more than a newage and 350 more than a classic, so either would feel a good deal quicker

Thank you Gary for that quote. It seems that I can have insurance on a performance and sophisticated car for a lot less that a Impreza...I suppose that is a sign of the times. But any way it has given me food for thought.

Volvo FTW !
Unless you can afford a proper nice classic scoob, listen to your head !
Cold light of day, scoobs are a PITA and expensive Volvo S60R's are nice and underrated. You can have some good fun in any car tbh, depends on how you like to drive

You are 100% right, the S60R is very underrated and very nice as you say. You are not biased are you

Life is too short for regret, I would buy the best mechanically sounds Subaru you can find and then use your exceptional detailing skills to make it mint. Your Volvo seems to be costing you a lot and although I am sure they are great cars sometimes these issues just take the enjoyment out of the car.
You can have a spin out in my car when RCMs done , remember what your missing
