locating the fuel pump
As above guys really....
where is the fuel pump situated on a 96 classic??? And whats the easiest way to get to it so i can check what it is???...
will an uprated pump (i.e. walbro 255) or even the standard factory fitted one have it wrote on the side so i can distinguish between the 2 or not????
Thanks everyone

its loacated under the back seat, take the seat out and there is a oval cover on the drivers side, take that off and then you will see the top of it. undo all the hoses and bolts(make sure you release the pressure first, open your filler cap disconect the plug on the top of the pump and crank the car) and pull out the pump is there.
if its a walbro it will be on it,if you cant see walbro on it,it may be standard.unisecs i think.

You will know if it is a walbro as they are normally silver in colour and have a 'W' stamped on the front, also most are connected by a 2 wire plug(red, black) ,yours should be smaller than a coke can and the wires attatched attatched by 2 screws to the terminals.

It's not under the rear seat, it's in the boot behind the rear seat on the offside. You will find an oval plate on the floor held in by 4 screws and it's under there A walbro pump is smaller than the standard pump and it'll have a sticker on it.
