Resonator box is what is meant.

Louder without the bubble and quieter with the bubble.

Its as it says mate, Its a small sports silencer a little bit like the old cherry bombs you used to get. Apparently with them it cuts out the drone for a better sound.

 

so would it be best to have it without if i want loudness

Resonated it will remove most of the booming/droning noice in the cabin, can be a bit tiring if you do lots of travel on high ways

unresonated it can be stupidly loud depending on the backbox..

 

im putting on a afterburner vortex backbox aswell so should be pretty loud

 

I was in same dilemma, but decided to go with the resonated centre section, with vortex backbox.

And it is still loud and sounds really good. And the cabin noise isn't massively bad. But I guess some people might think otherwise lol.

 

Get it with .. Had the same situation, went for a straight through centre without resonator/sports silencer.. BIG mistake , anything above 65 at a constant speed droned like hell in the cabin ..eventually sold it and bought one with , big improvement and IMO no noticable difference of noise from the exhaust.

I had my wrx without the silencer, with a prodrive backbox and no centre cat and found the noise more than exceptable never had a problem on long runs on motorway either, In fact I had a lot of positive comments that the sound from my car was just right.
