Whats a good sounding cat back system ? (i know everyone has different tastes)


Originally had an HKS full 3" system but it needed replacing,but that sounded sweet,
Currently have a Blitz Nur spec R,way too loud so i run with the bung.
Was thinking the afterburner vortex system but having listened to youtube clips,it sounds similair to my blitz without the bung,also the backbox looks similair in size,just a longer exit piece - is it quieter than the nur spec

i need a decent sounding burbly system,the way the nur spec currently sounds with the Bung is fine,but as i do 70+ quite often and have kids,it needs to be cabin friendly but still give those listening the scoob is coming feeling

3" hayward and scott sounds amazing! i had a cusom 3" back box made by h&s mated to a 2.5" centre section and the sound was lovely,so a full 3" system will sound just perfect.

 

i got a magnex system, sounds nice.

I got a spec C downpipe into a miltek system, its quiet on tick over and poodling but once your right foot is planted all hell breaks loose...best of both worlds

cabin noise is fine as well around 70ish

 

I have a kakimoto system except the downpipe which is the rcm one, i think its just nice, nice burble when your about town and ok when sitting at 70, but when you take it through the rev range it soounds awesome. But as others have mentioned the magnex back box quitens things down and still has a good growl to it...

 

TSL Group N back box, bespoke center, cobra 2nd cat delete. quiet enough until ya boot it, fine at 70ish as you dont have many revs on

I have a japspeed full system, loud and burbly around town but on motorway you can have a comfortable comversation without having to RAISE your voice

 

Ive had a blitz nur spec r and the spec s
HKS hi power
and now a vortex system.

and the HKS is the best by far, looks the best and sounds the best, I did like the blitz but it is crazy loud,

 

going by youtube i really like the apexi n1 system, sounds lovley, u can also now get the apexi n1 evolution which is full stainless cause the normal one had a mild steel centre pipe which iirc is the same story with the hks systems. i have a h&s full decat on my uk turbo 2000, unresonated with the classic style round 3.5" backbox, it sounds really nice driving around normally and then goes mental when you boot it, great system.

 

i also have a HKS cat back sounds really good not to loud .
