Hello Mate

This is mine its a cobra 3" backbox with 5" tailpipe, but i am fully de-catted so its way louder than it would be on your standard system.

They drive you nuts in the end, so bare this in mind

I had a 5zigen on my old car which was fooking loud, sounded fantastic but go on a 150-200 trip up the motorway and my back seat passangers would be pleading for me to stop, you couldn't have a conversation with someone in the passenger seat. I ended adding extra sound deadening and driving with the window open an inch to stop the droning

LOL im pretty hardcore with what i can cope with....

had my last car for years which was stripped our, rock solid suspension, harnesses and a 4 branch decat exhaust.......lotsa people said it would drive them mad but i loved it haha.
The scooby feels like a luxury cruiser in comparison lol....

Why do people look for the loudest exhaust they can? Does it make them cool?

Havent said i WANT the loudest one tho
Just simply trying to work out which one will be louder as a point of interest.

But just as a point of reference....having the louder one makes you infinitely cooler!!!!! haha, jokes

I went for the Blitz one on my last classic Scoob due to...

The sound quality
Deepness of the rumble
Build quality
Nice 4.5" tailpipe
Visual looks

IMHO anything bigger on a classic looks too big

3" - 4.5" is plenty big enough.

Only that will cost you some torque going 3" rather than 2.5. It will sound deeper...ish but you'll notice a loss without remapping.

ah right i see, well its only a back box, so only a pretty small section right at the end of the system which will be fractionally larger bore, ill bear that in mind when the time comes to change the centre pipe as well though. The rest of my exhaust is bog standard.

don't know what the cobra sounds like but I've just had the Turbo back decat Afterburner system installed with the Afterburner Vortex. The sound is incredible, not too bad on the motorway at 70mph. Definitely a head turner.
