1/4 Mile question.

1/4 Mile question.
Hi all.
I popped up to Santa Pod at the weekend to try and improve on my previous best which was a 14.7 @ 93mph. (Car is a UK T2000 wagon, standard power but with BC coilovers.) I improved to a 14.2 but this time at 91mph .
I did 15 runs, quickest on number 12 but just couldn't go any quicker.
I was wondering if anyone knew if a 14.2 was realistically as low as I could get it without removing seats, carpets etc. or adding power (which will come in time).
Cheers
Andy

I always found the gearing a little long in a UK car to do sprints, but your times are not bad, you have to be really unsympathetic to the car if you want to break into that 13 second area, then you will probably break something and have to be towed home
Stripping out everything wont really give you much better times, you need more power upgrades like a decent exhaust and a remap, if the car is strangled it doesnt matter how light it is, its still strangled, and unmodified UK turbo's are very strangled (and not very quick )

for a 210bhp uk car thats a good time really but as above you need to remap and decat to get more and if you want to break the old 13 seconds you need to get a nice turbo on there as well and injectors so on

I managed a 13.5@98 with a T2000 Wagon with all interior in place and with normal tyres.
Only mods were De-Cat Exhaust and a £15 Boost Controller.
I had Coilovers fitted after that and found them to actual make getting off the line harder.
The flex with standard suspension helped things get off the line smoothly and quickly.

5.5k-6k rpm and lift of the clutch as quick as you can usually helps. And if your worried about your clutch then I wouldnt go on at all. I see to many people on the drag strip who pull off like they would on a normal green light at a junction.
I managed a 13,7 in a standardish MY00 Turbo 2000(cat back exhaust system, dump valve) about 6-7 years ago with my first Impreza.

Thats cool, so not far off what the car is phyiscally capable of with no engine mods.
I have a h&s sport cat and a vf28 to be fitted and mapped when funds allow.
I am hoping for circa. 300bhp maybe same in lb ft, what kind of times do you think would be reachable with that setup?
Thanks very much
Andy
