Default NO BOOST!!!

Been away for the weekend driving back down the M62 put my foot down and no boost ,drove all the way back home ,has the turbo gone Kaputt... or what advice needed cheers lee

check your intercooler piping hoses for tightness or the intercooler itself for a busted core which can happen stones etc if it was your turbo blowing you would definatly know i.e nuff smoke.

also what car/year etc ?
any funny noises/screams(air/boost leaks)/knocks etc?

classic uk with ej25, dump valve was wasting not even on boost so maybe been told waste gate stuck open how do you rectifiy this would it solve the problem by putting back recirculating valve and get rid of the baily.. just a thought

Sounds more like the DV is fudged (stuck open). Remove it and bung the hole or refit OE item if you have it. If that solves it the defo DV fudged

just took the dv off pushed the actuator pin in and out and seems to be ok (ie air is coming out of the nipple that attaches to the small pipe) confused dosnt seem to be not working is there anyway of testing this properly

seems to be a small rattle coming from the turbo that wasnt there before still no boost .

Sorry mate, not ofay with the bailey and can't quite understand what your doing/saying at the mo.

Have you actually got the OE recirc DV to refit? If so, refit it and try again

havn't got the recirc valve (original part) to try out mate , theres no spool up from the turbo ,no dumping of the air from DV nothing car runs fine just no boost was boosting ok friday came home today and nothing but runs fine im very confused ...!

just an update, took the Baily DV off last night and moved the actuator pin in and out a few times took the car out this morning waited till oil temp was up to temp and turbo spooled up ok and waste gate opened and dumped the air ,everything fine, god these cars can be a headache sometimes.... anyway still going to put back standered Recirulating valve when i get hold of one .

The Baileys is sticking open, they are ****. It will do it again, get a OE recirc fittyed asap to be sure that this problem will not re-occure

just waiting on someone on here to get intouch about recirc valve the big entry goes to the pipe that is blocked off with a bung if im correct where do you get the pipe from anyone have any links please as mine is a short stub of samco with a bung in it

Would need to see how the previous owner has gone about it really, perhaps post a pic of the Baileys in situ so we can see what your missing

il take one tommorow, baily at the minute is just bolted to intercooler,with small boost pipe attached to the top.
Just situated below bottom is the samco (short stub) with a bung in it il post pic so as a little clearer tomorow.

Hi .Can u collect the valve from sale in south manchester,if not i will see how much postage will be.Where are you based as i said i only want £5.00 for the valve.
