Default Exhaust question?

Hi All,

How do u make a Blitz nur spec exhaust not so loud?

I have a full decat system fitted to my wrx.

I do not want to fit a bung as it would be bad for the car especially as the car is running at 320bhp!

My thoughts are to put the cat back on but not sure if this would make a difference to how load it is! The other option maybe is to fit another silencer in the system but this does not seem to be readily available(have looked everywhere on the net)

This could be very prudent as I heard today that they are bringing in a new thing on the MOT that will fail a car if the exhaust noise is above a certain db!!!!

Your thoughts would be very welcome!

Cheers

You could try to get a resonated centre pipe custom made, this is where I got my exhaust.

Blitz are one of the loudest exhausts there is, but I'm the same as you & find the Blitz too overpowering in the noise department.

I just fitted a decat downpipe & changed my Blitz for an HKS system (JASMA stamped) & it's much more acceptable even with the decat downpipe. You might find it easier to buy another exhaust & sell on the Blitz. Blitz exhausts will always fetch good money.

Thanks mate,

The only trouble is I do not want to shell out on a new system so looking at a reasonably price fix!

Blitz exhausts do hold there money well as some people will always want LOUD. You have that in your favour if your selling. You will probably find that the money you get from the sale of your Blitz more than pays for a different exhaust.

I'll be sticking my Blitz on ebay soon & will probably get back almost what I bought the HKS for.

Whenever I change somet on my car I seem to sell whatever I had before for a very similar price. Maybe I'm just a bit lucky that way.

Anyways good luck in whatever you decide to do buddy.

Not sure mate, you'd be better emailing them for a quote. Mine was ready made when I bought it.
