Default Could this be Richard Burns - steering wheel?

Ok as I am now looking at Subaru ownership and seeing the anniversary of the late RB, A hero of mine growing up it reminded me of this wheel I had in the loft in a box.

The story goes that a good friend of mine as a leaving present managed to obtain this wheel from a colleague at Prodrive (I think) after winning the 2001 GB Rally and winning championship. It was said to have come from his winning car!!

Now I have always loved to believe this story but there are codes on the back, its certainly from a scoob and RB1 written, my friend certainly was in the know on the rally front and new RB so I have no reason to suspect otherwise.

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were... perhaps I should contact PRODRIVE as would love to know if codes match and authentic!

Might be worth taking it to the memorial and seeing if anyone recognises it?
