Default Biting point

Hi guys,

I have a 53 plate WRX and I was wondering where the biting point on the clutch should be?

Middle, fairly high etc.

Thanks

my MY03 is close-ish to the top but not right high up. Being hydraulic operated i dont think theyre really adjustable - stick it in a high gear at a low ish speed and see if its slips.

Also if you try to pull away in 4th gear it should stall - if it doesnt then clutch is on its way out

In a nutshell they should bit roughly central - they get higher and higher as they wear, as they are self adjusting they can only maintain central to a point then it starts to rise. Depending on milage and drving style a high bite point can be dragged out for a while before changing but for me when its very high then say goodbye and get a new one. If you let it start to slip then you may score the flywheel
