Default a question about honesty

i have a question regarding the honesty of people selling their impreza's

i have been thinking about this issue over the last few days and was wondering if this is why we see so many horror threads regarding cars blowing in the first couple of days ownership

we see many threads/adds all the time regarding people "returning the car to standard"

i have no issue with this as you never get back the money you have paid for all the extra parts so you might as well sell them individually and re-coupe as much as possible

my question is regarding the mapping

presuming you have had your car mapped to match the mods you made in the first place how many people honestly get the car re-mapped back to standard before selling ?? or is it just left

makes you wonder about the history of cars other than the usual checks when buying

what are your thoughts ?

Yep I did and I was only trading it in

Honesty is a rare commodity in car sales, people sell cars for a reason and economy of truth seems to be the order of the day in most cases.

Sadly in my experience people rarely sell a car in the condition that they would wish to buy one in.

Mine was totally standard when i bought it, full OE exhaust system and not even a boost gauge fitted, I've not even found traces of any reversed mods. The couple i got it off didn't have a clue about Scoobs, saying that, niether did I.
