This has just got me thinking - I've upgraded my PC and can finally play Colin McCrae Rally (mk 1) properly (at last!!), so does anyone know of anywhere I can get some *real* Scooby sounds for the game?
Cheers,
Steve

Steve M - think you would be disappointed with the scoobymania - it isn't THAT loud - I have just been checking mattski's sound files (which sound very nice but...)against recordings of your car from my videos of recent RR days - the bpm is much louder - as is my own full scoobysport system.
If noise is paramount - then the ST May Shotgun backbox (or should I say backboxes)...
...is absolutely the loudest - no question - though the Apexi N1 and HKS Super drager run it close (the apexi has the advantage of a removeable silencer that is useful when you need to transport parents/grannies etc.)
some real player files of the jap exhausts can be found at:

Yes I did feel the Scoobymania a biut quiet - almost like my old STI5 system!
I finally have a rear box from Greg - however thats all! - it needs a pipe welding to fit to a centre pipe - as all it is, is the rear box! - and no hanging brakets either!
Will someone pls send me these files as yep... my works computer wont let me access!
I'm off to Bob Rawles this afternoon to listen to the HKS Hiper

Hi Guys, unfortunatley I c'ant download the sound files and am trying to find out which is the QUIETEST exhaust(already have SS DP).I've had to sell my SuperDrager because it was too loud.So what I need is the quietest and least vibration inducing exhaust that still gives decent power gains.
I know the simple thing is to come to a meet but sadly work means that is rarely possible.
p.s car is an STi. Cheers. Deep.

Aaaaaaahhhhhh come on....
PSLewis - Were talking about exhaust sounds - its like one of the most important aspects of the car..... - Its gotta sound good
Anyway my neighbours have complained that my car is too loud - so I dont want to disappoint and get a less noisy car - especially for those 'in estate, driving modes in 2nd gear at 3am!'

Does pete ever actually have anything positive or interesting to say
Exhausts are cool. That is one of the prime ways that people can tell that a scooby is coming. Plus the boxer noise sounds great and bog standard exhausts make it sound pants.
Nick. (With Big-*** decatted full Jap exhaust System and I loves it!!!)

mr lewis -
sad it may be - but not as sad as racking up 600 odd posts in the short space of time that you have been active on this bbs - touche.
in defence of the anally retentive... a loud exhaust is essential for:
- letting wifey know that she has to get the kettle on (and a lacy pinafore) as you are approaching and will be home imminently.
- drowning-out the youth in the car alongside - playing god awful 'petrol station cds' too loud through an open window (usually in ford fiesta borrowed from mum)
- a degree of theft protection - ie the car is impossible to start in the early hours without waking the dead (and hopefully the owner).
- tunnels
I rest my case
