Depends what you wnat it for IMO.

If it is to be your every day car I would go for the JDM blob, if it is as a fun/weekend car then the Type R it is.

Just a better car all round. And that is a big compliment as the type r is the best of the classics - think the only classic I would have above the JDM blob is a 22B.

Twin scroll engine, stronger engines (fully revised over the open deck classic v6 car), stronger gearbox, clutch, brakes, better handling, A-DCCD unless you get a KL pov spec blob STI, refined and good fun (and I own one of each )

Jdm twin scroll sti would be plenty of fun at the weekend too.

I love the type r's but unless you can find one that's very special and has a newage engine etc then it's got to be the blob.

Think I need to have a drive in a jdm blob to see how it compares to my type r, I love it to bits, looks and drive of it but have always loved the blobeye also.

i say jdm blob but my05 if you can stretch to it. The improvements are worth it. Or get a spec c if just a weekend toy.

wider track improved dccda larger hubs improved dash layout and interior believe a few engine differences as well as an improved intercooler. Sure someone on here will have all the details but i believe heads and cams are standardised to same as spec c as well.
