i had a 2000cc fastback 56 plateuntil yesterday
wanted something a little bit better

so i have just bought a wrx sti 2008 hatchback model


got it yesterday but the experiance was ruined as when i got it home
the rear parcel shelf/rollerblind was missing

the car cost £18000 and i had just paid for it, sat it on the front drove
was happy till i got outt and saw no shelf

i contacted the garage who said it was not included as they never got it when they got the car in they basically fobbed me off i had paid so they were no longer interested

i remember seeing one in the car so i looked on there site and there are some photos of my car you can see the shelf

my nephew had also took some photos and he has one with the shelf in

what can i do

Take it back, you have a few days, tell them either they replace the shelf, or you want your money back. Simple. Threaten trading standards, and show them the photos of it WITH the shelf.

 

Make sure you copy the photos as they will probably disspaear tomorrow
Ring and ask for the dealer principle / general manager and offer to email over the picture to him direct to show they were in with the car and say you had a witness to it when you looked at the car
It's probably lying around in the mechanics / valeting area when they cleaned it and it got missed off
Mention you are in tts / scoobynet / cs etc
I would imagine a new parcel shelf is £130 apron and you would struggle to get one of those cheap from a breakers yard

Get some photos up on the gallery hatch thread and join the gr hatch forum

 

New one £199 plus vat which is expensive for what it is
