Every 08 on STi has a Metasat tracker linked to your mobile phone and a Cat 1 alarm. Plenty of guys on here recommend A plan or Keith Micheals insurance. Plenty of threads about insurance, with some great quotes.

just a tip, Never go on comparison websites as they never offer you the best prices, Probs more worth while spending some time on the phone its amazing how the price can come down. Thats just from my experience

I have just switched to Admiral. I got a mutlicar quote that reduced the premium on my wife's Allroad by £100 and the Nissan GTR I am picking up next weekend is £588, which is cheaper than my current 2008 STI with PPP and prodrive springs, which was about £600. I am going to miss the Hatchback though

BTW I am 39 as well with no points and loads of no claims.

Phil,

As Chris says, give Admiral a call. Mine was just over £600 for a Type R and a 911 with 4K a year on each and stop fretting

I am also with Admiral and when you speak to them usually will insure but only replace to standard for a small nominal fee.

Also found that the MetaSAT tracker doesn't make much difference to the premium

kieth michaels (gary) has come in at £625 FC incl the 19" alloys mod!!!!!! (also allows for future upgrades at that price too) £350xs.

does that sound ok? as he says the value of these cars makes the insurance go up a bit.

If you look at it like that, someone paying £500 on a £6k 12yr old TypeR... almost 10% of the value..... £625 for me is good??
