Hi All, my mate is moving to oz and he's told me that when he goes he's gonna send his car over, BUT he has finance on it and he also has a credit card which he has said he's going to just forget about along with the finance on his car but i think he will get ****'d over it, He says that once he's over there they cant do anything about it but is he wrong ( i think so ) and if he ever comes back to uk will they arrest him at the airport or track him down in oz, if anyone knows the law and can give me some advice i would be very grateful.

He will get away with it. Whether he can register the car there is another thing though.

 

How is he going to 'fcuked over'? He's the one trying to do just that to his cc company and the car finance company! He sounds like a really nice guy

 

you wont get hunted down overseas and arrested because of a debt
credit card anyone at any time can tell the cc company to go f itself, they can do nothing exept get a ccj and possibly reposess some property if you have anything which you wont as it will all be in your wifes,girlfreinds,mates.kids. names,

car is no different if you can hide it its up to the finance co to ****** it back, they cant say you stole it as you diddnt. its a civil case not criminal,

badbird is indeed correct as long as it's not fraud, which becomes criminal and not civil.
Pay off things like council tax, etc.
