Car not running right
Car - 2002 Impreza Bugeye STI Prodrive
After some help folks
Mods
Blitz downpipe
Blotz centre section
Fully decatted
Induction kit
FMIC
Remapped to 1.57bar
Walbro 255
Fitted my FMIC fitted today and now having issues
1 - When i go to hit boost the car stutters and fells like its about to flood and bogs down (in any gear) OFF boost car runs fine
2 - Disconnect the MAF and the car runs PERFECT but chucks up the EM light
I have swapped the MAF for another one off my mates STI prodrive and still the same issue.
So far the things i have looked at are.
ALL intercooler pipes are fine, not cracked
All tightened properly with no leaks
Checked ALL vacum hoses
Checked the dump valve
What I don't understand is when the MAF is disconnected the car runs perfect, spools up properly and hits full boost (only done it a couple of times for testing)
Can anyone help?

has the ecu been mapped to suit the mods?
reason being now the fmic is fitted the air's gonna be a lot cooler and denser that when the tmic was fitted, maybe the ecu needs mapping/chipping to suit now.

It has not been mapped for the front mount but has been mapped for everything else.
Its deffo not hitting fuel cut as that was raised when doing the mapping for all the other mods.
The car is undriveable with the maf plugged in...
When i fitted the FMIC,decats, induction kit on my old classic i never bothered mapping the car for any of it and it ran lovely... (Turbo 2000)

Will do Dunx - My mapper called me back to say the reason the car is running fine with no MAF is because its picking up signals through the O2 sensor and kind of guesing what to do..
Put the top mount back on and the car is still not running right.
Grrrrr....... I have rechecked everypipe on the manifold, every vacum hose, change the dump valve, changed the MAF.
Left my code reader at my mates so going to have to leave the battery off to get the EM light off :-(
I really cant be fecked doing this.
When the car comes on boost it POURS black smoke out the **** of it and kangaroos like a ****....Only on boost tho. Off boost its just normal..

Its a standard STI ecu thats been mapped mate. Done by Trackhound Tuning.
How would I check if the wires to the MAF are damaged?
Also you say overfueling means a leak after the turbo? Sorry I'm not that clued up where do you mean?
Thanks lads your input is much appreciated.

MAP sensor is on the top of the Throttle Body bud (as you look at it it is the left one). If you have added a FMIC may have been left unplugged or a wire may have come out?

Took FMIC off and redid ALL the pipework car gets to about 0.4bar boost then stutters and misfires.... If you go onto boost gentley the stutter clears and the car takes off at about 1.2bar......stutters again then gets to target boost 1.57

Well another 5 hours at the car and the issue is now solved THANK ****
A silicon joiner on the side of the FMIC was on a a tiny angle (i swear i checked) but when rev'd hard it was blowing and causing the car to run ****.
Just had her on a private bit of land and was able to hold it flat out 1st to 6th with no issues.
Thanks for the advice people
