Default scooby wave dead?

when i used to own a blob 4 years ago nearly every scoob that i passed waved or flashed.

now i have a classic i barely get a passing look. dont get me wrong other classics still flash but newage just dont take any notice.

I was never that snobby when i was a newage owner, and the only reason i went classic was to have more fun.

classics are by far the better car albeit get older now but are a brilliant drivers car. If i wanted a car with the creature comforts that the newage offer, i wouldnt buy a subaru. There are far better cars out there to be had. imo subaru built the classic the best and it will take a lot for them to better it, unless they start building subarus as they did at the begining i can only see them goin downhill. (as they have). Anybody buyin a subaru isnt buyin it for creature comforts they are buyin it for raw performance.

i am on my 2nd scoob and have noticed lately that classics and even newer newage drivers look at you sometimes and think why did he wave or flash me... some respond but many just ignore so i dont think its just because you are in a classic its the times still wont stop me flashing or waving its their problem not mine.....

i know what you mean theres a white type r near me and he's the same, must be above it all

it quite funny on this foum everyone gets along quite fine-ish. My apprentice who frequents the saxo and clio forums says there a definate snobbery there. i.e
turbo and throttle bodied owners are treated like gods.
then theres the vts owners who mock the vtr owners who inturn mock the westcoast and 1.1 owners.

I wonder if we are getting those types of owners who "graduate" to evo/scooby ownership, certainly explains some of the ***** driving scoobs.

yes I have noticed that recently to. I hardly ever gain a return wave from the newer scoobs.

But I don't let it get me down. I love my classic, and perhaps there is that snobbery that I've got a newer car than yours. Again I'm not really interested in it all, They have to pay more road tax. Also find women never reyrun the wave either lol.

i think the hatch drivers either wave at rovers or dont wave because they are inferior?

i always wave from my blob. dont always get one back, mainly from classic owners tbh, and i wonder if that's cos some of them fall into the hands of chavs and not enthusiasts and they dont "get" the scooby wave?

I've had a 2005 Blobeye saloon and a wagon - and got (and gave) waves. Now i've got a hatch...not a sausage in return. I think in a year, probably 4 or 5 waves!!!

Always get waves from all the young dudes around town, passed a guy in old white Classic even his ole Lady waved, there seems to be an older group of drivers that seem to be in a different world I think it is because they are frightened to take a hand off the wheel
