Alright mate ive got the x431 and it is a very good tool but can struggle on occasion with french motors such as renault and subaru's seem to be weak point also,ive used the solus and wasn't to impressed with that,alot depends on what you intend on doing with it really mate?

Unfortunatly there isn't one diagnostic machine on the market that will cover every manufacture in depth. The Snap-On Solus Pro is a very good machine but not if you doing mainly Subaru as they are not covered on there software yet.

Snap on verus pro and verus dio are bang on, they cover everything and have loads of extra capabilities and features, the live data and scope features are excellent. The kits not cheap though, i think my gaffer paid £7-8k for his.

our snap on solus wont read any subarus - even after an update! £8k worth of kit and it can't read a 2003 wrx....

Strange? My mate uses this and I can read mine with no issues? Is it on every subaru? Or is there a problem with the DL16 connection on this specific car?

Mines a 53 JDM sti
