im thinking about getting an sti 8 bonnet scoop for 2002 wrx, will it fit straight on to the oringinal hole? if so will i need to get the car remapped because the amount of air that will go into the wrx tmic?

Hi mate,
Not sure about the MY02. I got one that fitted my MY05 blob no problems.
I think DR Motorsport might do MY02.
Won't need a remap as far as I remember but have you thought about getting an STI TMIC? More of a safety feature than performance.
If you plan to do that, make sure you get the right rubber seal/undertray for the scoop

An OE sti scoop from a blob will not fit a bug, and doesnt look that good to be fair. Try to get hold of the bug sti scoop, it doesnt look much bigger when in your hands, but IS bigger and looks the biz.

cheers guys for the help, i now will have to find an sti tmic hopefully not cost me too much and an sti bonnet scoop originally for the bug eye

Sorry....didn't come across as I meant. I was trying to say that I got the big scoop for my blob....which I was told was an STI 8 one?
Anyway....DR Motorsport do one for £150 painted for the bug.
Try jap performance parts for the tmic.

I'm going to be selling mine (STI8 look) as i'm trying to make my bug a little more stealthy. It's an ebay one that i have has filled and painted dark blue mica 95h i think (it could do with a bit of a fix up as about a 1.5 cm line of filler has dipped slightly) 60 quid and it's yours mate.
