Subaru Global site - The story behind the 7'55'00 Nurburgring record
I was looking around Subaru's global site and chance upon this:
http://www.subaru-global.com/special...nge/index.html
There quite a few videos, showing history of WRX STI and Nurburgring, an interview with Tommi and the engineers, development stages of the car and some nice wallpaper.
Best part, this time round, there is english subtitles, so we can actually understand.
Enjoy!

The 2005 spec c ra did it in 7,59 with no cage and just the sti suspension mods. I reckon the RA-R with the bigger turbo bigger 18" wheels with bigger rubber and not to mention the bigger brakes would of done a quicker lap than the current car.

Sure Immy, Subaru would not be that stupid enough to send a UK spec to the 'ring. But as you said above it is still a Jap spec STi, you should be looking at times of a Jap spec 2005 STi compared to 2011 STi.
You going to be getting any 2011 Jap spec saloons in?
