Putting a Standard STI on a basic diet
What is the simplest way of doing this for a race event, so that it is easily put back to normal afterwards with no Butchering!
Im refering to a MY01 STI, so I would hazard a guess at:
Remove all unwanted/surplus equimpment (jack, spare wheel, boot board/carpet etc). Remove rear seats and possible passanger seat. Maybe remove spoiler depending on event.
Thanks,
Rob

all of the above (I would leave spoiler)
also the amount of fuel you carry can make a difference.
you could leave the car as it to give a more realistic "real world" time/lap.
all the best and have fun

Rear seats out is easy but they aren't very heavy...
Front seat is around 20kg.s so well worth it, if you aren't allowed a passenger...
IC spray bottle = empty !
Front subframe/stiffener = another 20 kg approx...
A "dump" will normally happen anyway...
dunx
P.S. Keep 3/4 of a tank of fuel in, fuel surge is an engine killer on track...

.... this takes me back to the mid 90's. I went to Santa pod with my RS Turbo S1, however we were trading, so on the way down I filled up with a full tank just 30miles from Pod with the car being the vocal point of our stand, but at the 2nd day in whilst trading (after only owning the car 2 weeks) decided to drag it to see it capabilities, I forgot about the full tank of juice until my 2nd run against a Astra GTE... I whipped his *** with a 15.5 @ 102 if memoery serves me correct and he came to the stand to ask what was under the bonnet of the elgedy 132bhp std motor, to which he was deeply depressed to find i also had a full tank of juice...... So i spanked a 2ltr astra that was stripped and running light on fuel.................................. I later found out i was running a Cozzie turbo and actuator, and i was bleeding the vac pipe with some small holes, consequently running around 200bhp of bowwored time, and yes it went bank a few weeks later thus i found out what caused the big bang
