Default comp stage 1 clutch

Hi guys need abit info, has anyone got or tried a comp stage one clutch, i'm looking to upgrade the clutch, as the standard, has started to slip, but have been advised that it may slightly judder in first gear and its a heavier pressure plate, but all other gears will be fine. Has any member here tried this clutch and can give me some advise, I like to drive hard sometimes, however not always, and would this be a good upgrade for launching, or is the std on fine. Plus next year or so i would like to have the car running around 350bhp or so, is this ok on a std clutch or not as it will wearout quicker?

regards

VJ

Do they exchange the fly wheel and charge about £70?

i got a stage 2 for someone and it is fine and doesn't judder. my stage 4 paddle does judder if you don't feed it in right, takes a bit to get it right but fine now and has taken 430bhp, the stage 2 is being used on a 300ish classic and has been fine with some heavy driving

does anyone know if the std clucth would be ok with 350bhp or it'll just wear out, what i'm after is the same feel type clutch as the std but can hold the power and torque of 350ish bhp?

regards

You will need an uprated clutch at that level.

The uprated Exedy Organic Racing Clutch that we supply is nice and smooth to drive, just like OEM. : http://www.superhids.co.uk/exedy-clu...der-230mm.html

We are doing a special on these at the moment at just £499.99 with a uprated lightweight forged flywheel. :http://www.superhids.co.uk/lightweig...l-5-speed.html

Superb package, lovely to drive, improves throttle response and acceleration.
