Default MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, help please

Evening all,

I have a decision to make, a friend of mine has offered me £8500 for my car and I dont know if its a good offer, i was in no rush to sell it but it seems a good offer and knowing what the current climate is like i dont know if i should ****** his hand off or not! HELP PLEASE

I have an 04 plate impreza STI UK in black with a gold fleck, its done 35k, got FSH, really nice unmarked condition, ECU TeK remap 325bhp ish with panel filter prodrive back box, panel filter and walbro fuel pump. It also has two perrin wing stiffis and a double din head unit which is a pioneer unit with has sat nav, radio, cd, dvd, ipod conectivity, bluetooth etc etc.

The car has MOT till May and long tax.

I had not really thought about selling it until he had approached me, I have owned it for two years and loved it to bits but should i sell please please help me, please put yourself in my position and be as honest as you can!! Thanks!!

You can get a good low mileage Hawkeye STi for £10500, I would say that's a pretty fair offer for an MY04.

Only sell it if you want to and you don't seem sure that you want to sell.

if you have no real reason to sell it then if i were you i wouldn't. however if you definitely want to sell it then that is a good selling price for your car as that is slightly more than they are going for.

8.5 K I would say is reasonable; not great, not $hite. It's only a reasonable price if you want to sell.

Edit - Has it got DCCD? If not, snap his hand off.

Jon, Ive met you and seen the car and I say that you will not get a car which was looked after by the last owner better. Next time (yes there WILL be a next time, very soon) you buy an Impreza, chances are you will not be so spawny! Its a lovely car mate and you dont seem sure, I say keep it and forget the idea of a Land Rover. You would regret it!

Depends how bad you need the money. If you do need the money id sell it at that price. Its not a bad offer imo.

The only reason for the prices dropping is financial difficulty and needing quick sales , rising petrol prices won't help either , they aren't cheap to run and maintain , prices of these cars should stabilize when the economy hopefully gets back on its feet. Just my opinion . Oh and don't sell unless you want or have to
