i was told 360bhp was about as big as you can go in the hp stakes safely to avoid being more prown to blowing the engine and you would be unluky even though it not heard of for it to let go at that

no, your engine will be fine, im saying i think that your turbo may be too big for your power goal, and the drivability of the car may be compromised. Maybe a vf35 instead or if you want a very quick road car then a TD05 18G, however the TD05 will be more likely to kill your gearbox than a vf35

The others have amply covered the turbo issue. Buying one that is bigger than necessary compromises the driveability of the car - slower than ideal throttle response, slower than ideal spool. If you haven't actually bought this turbo yet I would get something different in your shoes.
Also, have you actually bought/paid for the APS bits? If not, you may well want to save your money. Standard induction tract is fine at this level, while the obvious (and more cost-effective) intercooler would have been an STi one.
All said on the assumption that your "05 blob" is a WRX - which you haven't actually specifically said.
There's no need to change sensors, although as has already been said, a three port boost control solenoid is worthwhile as it gives better, more granular boost control, which is worth having, and especially so if you're going to stick with the inappropriately sized turbo.

Split, im also guessing its a wrx and not an STI, the mention of 550cc injectors, sti scoop and tray pointed me that way, in which case sell the car, buy an STI, its going to be cheaper to start with and in the long run.

wrx injectors will run out at about 310bhp (give or take)
550's will get to 400 ish.
The APS top mount is very good and easily capable of handling that power and more although a good fmic will net more power ultimately.
One good thing about using a slightly bigger turbo is that your gearbox will be under less strain than with an uber spooly turbo so may well cope with the higher power better. As it is ball bearing cored it should respond quickly so that is a good thing.
What turbo is it?

A wrx isnt a good starting point if you want over 350bhp, it just gets far too expensive, gearbox, clutch, brakes, injectors, turbo, top mount/front mount, rear diff to go with that gearbox (note a PPG new build 5 speed gearbox is like 5.5k and they still retain the standard 5th gear cog which seems to cause all sorts of problems on high powered scoobs).
Rethink what you want, go look for what you will get for your wrx, look at the prices of the STI's, look at the cost of all your mods and you will see how much cheaper it is to start with an STI in the first place

If you do decide you want to fit that, it will need to be held back to such a massive extent to stop it blowing the box that it will feel lifeless.
Good turbo but needs to be set free.
Would need 650cc injectors and a few other mods to be allowed to perform it's best.

if you want over 350bhp, i'd start with an sti
better engine, gear box, suspension, brembo brakes, adjustable centre diff, thicker anti roll bars
other point, you are starting with 225bhp and wanting to increase power by 60%. how long before something fails?
wrx's can get to 330bhp before prob's start, sti's 450bhp is achievable
