Parking ticket help
#1
Got a parking ticket yesterday in Enfield town, North London. It's one of those that doubles from £30 to £60 if not paid within 14 days.
Catch is that the attendant got the reg number wrong. The car is L***LHG and the ticket says L***LHC.
So ignore it and hope for the best?
Do the parking people have the same powers as the police? I'm sure if i'd shot someone they would have arrested me by now
Thanks is advance, David

you can ignore this. In three or 4 weeks they will check for unpaid tickets, look up the reg and find that the car make and the reg don't match and they will have someone elses address. (The person who owns the other car should be OK as well - like you really care)

I think you have a result
There was an artical in Auto Express recently on how to get away with parking type stuff.
The ticket MUST be correct in each and every detail.
Vehicle reg, colour, vehicle type, street the alleged offence was committed in, times - all must be correct.
Bugger me - all these morons have to do is get a simple series of numbers and letters in the correct order - Peanuts & Monkeys!
Not your reg - not your car!
