Hi guys im considering starting a mobile valeting business on my days off.
It wont be my full time job and dont expect to make stacks of money.
Im thinking box trailer instead of van to cut down on costs running 2 vehicles. Looking at around £1000-£1500 to get started i think sources equipment second hand from different places.
I want it to be totally self sufficient ei water/electric on board so i can valet anywhere.
Is anyone on here doing a similar thing who can give me advice on insurance/price etc?

I started a mobile valeting business up a few years back and did everything for 3k just make sure you get a baffled water tank and not one of these with the cage overwise when you turn a corner expect your trailer to be on its side dragging you down the road,. try a company called TAYBUR. thats who got me started with everything its in bury lancs.
Very important make sure you get liability insurance for if someone trips up over a vac wire in the street etc.
I did valeting and detailing for 8 years in total any tips give me a shout.

How about insurance if you damage someone's car.... machine polisher taking too much off and what not.
I've been on Detailing World for a while and seen a few people start up over on there...
You'll need things like generator, hoover (wet and dry pref), pressure washer (either electric or petrol - petrol usually better) all your products (shampoo, polish, wax, wash mits, buckets, clays, primers....)....
The bit that will cost the most is getting your name out there... there's hundreds of people doing this probably in your area, so you gotta think, what makes you better then the others?! - Usually products, and who you clean cars for - someone who knows a lot of people will probably get you more jobs - word of mouth and what not.
Good idea on getting a box trailer... get it plastered up with your company name and things, so people will notice you.
Most people seem to go more towards detailers now days, not valeting, as you can go down your local tesco and get your car valeted (but not detailed).
