Default dreamin a bit here

ok had my wrx bug for a year now, been mapped to 280 the now by AF, thinking about uprating again but im also stumbling onto thinking about a conversion or forging or even 2.1 stroker, as i ended up on that thread last night lol. opinions required would i be wise to do so or should i keep it the same for a yr or 2 then sell and buy something else. it has 65k on it the now,
ive not really researched the forging /stroker really at all just something that keeps poping in my head as i dont want to spend loads more just to sell and start again

Step away from the Bug WRX LOL

I've spent an absolute fortune on my Bug WRX on Engine, Brakes, 6 Speed etc just to get it near to what you get with the bug STi.

Either stick to low power mods (320 BHP) or buy something a bit more bulletproof.

I`ve been at that point for a while, I really cant justify another £4k on a MY02 WRX to get it closer to the 400bhp mark considering the market value, I`ve had it for 4 years but i know the only way i`ll get my money back is to break it and start on something new, mmm JDM, Not yet though.

mmmmm can i manage not to spend anymore money on it, i i get bored of things quite often and always need to do something new, but if i know im not going to keep it for a while i dont want to spend anymore on it,eps when i still have grills and skirts and fog light covers to fit, but along the lines of the forged or stroker it would be like a new car with a rebuilt engine, instead of buying a new car

A forged or stroked / mapped engine will kill the Bug WRX drivetrain stone dead.... I killed two bugeye WRX gearboxes and ended up at API paying £££ for a 6 speed, then there was the brakes

If you want to spend money then sell the Bug WRX and get a Jap Blob with twinscroll and DCCD

Throwing lots of money at a UK Bug WRX is hopeless IMHO

Bug WRX minor mods......... £4k plus a bit on a good day

I've got a bug WRX running 400 BHP with multiple thousands spent and I guess it's worth £6.5 as a package.

The joys of owning a bugeye LOL
