No Toshi Arai for sale at the moment, Few on pistonheads got a couple of nice examples on there...

A Couple of Hawkeye RA's have sold recently which were up at around £17000k which in my opinion was fairly reasonable http://pistonheads.com/sales/2170254.htm

http://pistonheads.com/sales/2202852.htm

This is very interesting if it all up to scratch and with all receipts and can be verifed by RCM.......obviously if he will move on the price a bit but I can respect whats he's must of spent on it.http://pistonheads.com/sales/2258679.htm

This is a good spec but the interior is horrible (in my opinion)http://pistonheads.com/sales/2219697.htm

Best of the bunch I think is this one http://pistonheads.com/sales/1740008.htm

All though the old shape its seem from the advert to be well looked after and have a good spec defi's, miltek , suspension set up etc on top off that I'm he would take £12- 12500 if it were a cash deal and you'll be motoring..... and you'll save 5k for mods over a hawkeye

Be prepared to travel for a spec c I had to and it took me 8 months to find the right one but it was a different market then

Happy hunting

That My05 is a little over priced another memeber on here just picked up a hawkeye jdm with 30k on the clock for 12k. One thing to look out for with all 2.5 converions is the headgasket.
The toshi arai versin only has a few extra stickers and white wheels other than that it's the same as a spec c.

I'm glad you all like it!!!

I pick it up as soon as the snow clears, and yes I have paid a deposit this time after being shafted by the s202 vendor (I'm not bitter but he is still a messer *****)

I can't wait to go and get it followed by a 250 mile drive home

No it wasn't I spoke to Litchfields about the other car and they said it was a type error on their advert and they did do two blue spec c wr type 25's your one and the other one still for sale. Oh and they all blow head gaskets if you push them too hard on track the type 25 mk1's straight from the Litchfield mouth.
Fantastic road car not a track car though.
I actually made an offer on the car on pistonheads before he put the price up again, before I knew about the head gasket issue( cheers immy) and I am glad the seller turned me down as I do expect to do a few track days.

To my knowledge it was the standard JDM MK 1 T25 that blew the gaskets and not the Spec's C...could be hearsay

Both engines are the same apart from the transmission coolers. It's not the type 25 that has the issue as am sure many of you will agree it's a great package. It's just an inherent design of the 2.5 lump unfortunately and they do go pop. The type 25 still works out a better buy as you get the extra goodies which will make up for the cost of a new headgasket and thicker 14mm studs which solves the issue.

Going to bed
I had just got of the phone to the Japanese as it was 10am there. Then up early for 7.30 and only 5 hours sleep. It means I act like a right grumpy Tw at for the rest of the day.

Another shout for Litchfields, or there is a chap selling cars under "Jperformance" and there is another chap in Manchester, his place is called "Performance centre group"

I have dealt with Litchfields (ask for Ian)
I have dealt with Jperformance (ask for Januz)
and I have met the chap at Manchester, he seems like a decent chap.

I have seen a white 55 plate Spec C on Piston heads for £21k with APs all around and a lot of engine work by RCM, I know £21k sounds a lot, but if you bought almost basic and tried to do the work yourself it would cost ££££££ so I think it is a bit of a bargain.

I bought my 06 Spec C Toshi Arai 18 months ago with a big dent in the door and it needed work on the gearbox for £16,500. I think you will be looking at £17k for a decent one?

Lee.

The RCM spec c is great value, your looking at 20K + for that level of RCM spec
