Default Impreza diesel new good price

Saw this one for sale at Motorpoint - probably unsold stock from a bankrupt Subaru Dealer - still expensive for what you get but I doubt you'll find one cheaper anywhere.......

The Subarus sold by Motorpoint are Cyprus or Malta imports.

Different spec to UK supplied and warranty problems.

ie. any warranty issues have to be authorised by supplying dealer in Malta or Cyprus.
No thanks.

Don't be put off buying a Euro car. Had three Euro cars and not had a single issue with warranty. Got good money for them as well at re-sale.

This said i am sure the U.K dealers would like to paint a different picture (for obvious reasons).

Overall i have saved around £10k on UK prices. £16k is a great price.

I have a Malta Impreza thro Motorpoint and had a couple of warranty issues resolved without any problems - are you from a Subaru UK dealer??

I was under the impression that Malta imported Imprezas were classed as grey imports and not EU imports? i.e. higher insurance?

Are they undersealed?

Subaru UK would have you believe anything to convince people we aren't part of a larger market - Malta is an EU country with right hand drive and they are Euro imports made on the same production line as the UK models and they are undersealed. Malta has a salty sea atmosphere and it's essential that they are undersealed just like the UK. I had to have a Cat1 alarm fitted to bring it to UK spec (Subaru UK bolt this on themselves asfter their cars reach the UK) and insurance just the same us Subaru UK supplied cars.

That's still an ugly bland looking car IMO, pretty good for this weather though.

If I was in the market for a diesel Subaru, it would have to be the Legacy.

Nothing dodgy looking about a diesel Impreza

Sometimes you just have to move ahead with the times (and bubble wrap the antiques for special days )
