Default Airbag Warning Light

Help needed
Airbag warning light has just come on the last couple of days since the really cold weather, on MY98 import.
Any other reason or does it need looking at and how much to service an airbag.

First thing to check is all plugs and connections as a loose plug will throw a light common one under seats on newage but presume classic don't have them there

Most likely cause i would guess that it might be a connection to one of the two crash sensors located on the front chassis rails within the front arches. If you have got lots of snow or water up there, then i would suspect that's the cause. If you are thinking of disconnecting and reconnecting any of the connectors for Airbags, then disconnect your battery on the car for at least a minute before doing any work on Airbags.
