Default WRX STi (new shape saloon) whats the best deals people have got buying?

Would love to come back to the scoob fold and this afternoon popped into Cross Roads Subaru at Warwickshire and looked at the new saloon WRX STi.

£33,500 new (or there abouts)

QUESTIONS:
1. what deals have ppl got on new?
2. what price are Ex Demo's selling for?

at the right price a deal could be done, but want to know what's out there to work on price wise.

Interested in the white saloon.... not bother about a spoiler on the back.. as Jo likes the under stated look

any advice.. please

got mine for the asking price, very rare they will budge.

I got a full tank of fuel Gap insurance cheap but as for car because it was on finance nowt really.

Overall though its been great, got to london on just over half a tank 234 miles. my back never hurts anymore in the recaros as it did in my WRX-S and previous other cars.

It is expensive but hey ho dont wanna spend it when im dead LOL

try MKAR Subaru in Rochdale M8 ask for Chris or Ayub pronounced AYOOBe like Lube.

Tell him you know Rob who bought the Plasma Blue and see if he cant cut you a deal.

I did speak to Elliot at crossroads, and he was mega helpful but couldnt get near MKARs offers.

interesting cheers.

can't understand why a sept 2010 WRX STi hatch back, you can get at £25k with 200miles on the clock, but they are just about the same price as a saloon!

wouldn't mind paying £25k for a nearly new

half a tank = 234miles.... what does a full tank take? 60 litres.
ps: any pix of your car to show me... did you go with a spoiler?

speak to simon at cotswolds subaru in hailey they don't hold new stock but that enables them to keep the price down. just tell him what your looking for and he'll do you a good deal.

Fancied white too but wife n kids dont like em, bit like the old yellow phase. Just wanted a colour not many would have, Blacks nice as always once washed any car looks cool , at present mines mucky LOL due to snow

No i didnt get the spoiler, prices for em though are 750 for the lip and 1050 for the wing. Not to happy about the spoilers though none Subaru builds, although the company who build em are good, if im paying 33k for my car i want the real one.

i was gonna get hatch, if your going that route get the 330R with PPP pack.

benifits of new un are

Seats
Interior looks executive kind of
Phone Prep
Bluetooth streaming and Ipod
Spec C suspension
Saloon Boot

But if your going hatch no real reason really, But the seats are mega the normal STI ones are **** same as my old WRX-S, some like em but once uve driven in these recaros youll understand, you may be able to pick some up though.

P.S ive been stopped 3 times now by people commenting on how nice it looks, never had that in my hatch, Think people miss the boot even though it looks like a toyota hehe. BUT i do still think a hatch would have been more practical, as my old 1 was, No Roland Piano going in this saloon like my old un had hehe

TNX again, just can't get my head around the year old car prices on the hatch though.
£22k is very tempting.

I like the **** you can alter the power output... you get that on the hatch too?

saw this.. but I see its sold.. it was £22k

gonna have a pop out today and see a hatch and compare spec and boot size.

is a 330s just a PPP version of a WRX STi, or is it another model all together.. like a special offer MY10 car cus they are trying to sell them off as the MY11's come out now?

whats the differnt versions in the STi?

Sti
Sti 330s. This had recaros sat nav keyless entry ppp pack hens 330

Sti 330r is a normal sti with exhaust upgrade and remap/new ecu so yes it's an sti

As above the new 2011 has keyless entry n push button start recuros new spec c suspension better internals more refined half leather but at a price

Hatch is cool boot is ok and seats go down so umcan throw loads in

Boot ismcool too like a locked safe one shut seats also go down but your limited by back window what u can shove in

If it was my call and my brass it would be

330r for hatch or 2011 saloon drive em both mate you'll see the diff and feel it , it's stiffer the suspension and doesn't sway as much nit that nits sways much anyway but u can tell

I'm not a fan of the hatch but they look quite good when you see a white one in the flesh.

Been to Europa Subaru in Sheffield this afternoon.

WRX STi 330s.. prodrive pack. RED (really would like white) 17k miles... (08 plate registered 11/3/2008) £19k.

Lovely car... very very quick.

down side was the age... and colour. It lookd lovely but back of my mind I think I'd like to try a white oe out.

08 plate was same as the £25k (60plate) car they had in the show room (MY10) but the 08 plate has the PPP330.. with the 18s.

Me thinking the 60plate wasn't worth the extra.

Ideally would like a 18month old car.. no more than 2yrs old. about £21k.. they are out there as they had one at Sheefield.. but it was silver lol i want white lol

so... will keep looking

i'll be back with a scoob soon, i hope

I was interested in that £21,995 59 plate 330S at Turbocentre but was told that as it was 'rock bottom' price they could only offer 'rock bottom' for mine in part ex which meant that I had to put £9k alongside my WRX-S. I offered £7.5k but no deal.

Also really wanted white when I got mine but ended up with Silver as there were hardly any whites around when I was looking, happy I went silver though now..

Have a good look at the 08/09 thread though, its a long one but a brilliant place for info.

Also, http://subaruhatch.forumotion.com/forum.htm

Cheers

My bro picked up a 16 miles on the clock sti 330r hatch from a dealer on a 10 plate (registered 2nd week of Aug '10 ) for 24.5k, had that weather guard stuff or whatever it is on the inside and outside, and some special detailing pack. There are deals to be found for sure.

It would have cost him 8.5k just to have :-

push button
recaro's
tweaked suspension
blutooth + ipod (didnt care about this because he would change the head unit anyway)
less power and no burble

Was a no brainer in the end.

You've got a nice looking car there, Ted, but it's never a £17.5k better car than your WRX-S.

yer i know that, i was going for a 330R ,myself from S&S services, but after they juggled numbers, i could get the saloon for a similier deal with a small balloon

Also the finance companies wouldnt stand up enough for the older STI only against the new model.

As my company pays it was a no brainer for me.

ScoobyL sold his for 16k STI with 340 BHP lovely car. recaros etc, he may still even have it at the mo

suppose Paul you could say that a Hatch is the same thats 11k more whats 5 between friends :P, and i do get a lot of people say niceeeee, who know fack all about cars LOL

If i was Salsa king id do 2 things

330s
STI saloon

Id forget the 330r unless he wants to save cash, for 25k id want recaros and goodies, when i sat in the STI 330R it felt l;ike my WRX-S of which was very nice, but if youve ever sat in a 330s or new saloon the seats just make it nicer.

Push button start to be honest i think there ****, mine has it but i spend more time using the remote to open it for wife.

Paul what did you get in the end ?

My old WRX-S is up for 16,995 sniff

Ted
I've still got the pearl white WRX-S. I'm not in any rush to change but that white 59 plate 330S was an attractive proposition at the price, although not keen on the 5-spoke wheels (prefer the 18" anthracites on mine). It was on Pistonheads for around four weeks and the price had fallen several thousands in that time. A Litchfield spec-c hatch could be on the agenda.
